Stay Informed on the Go with Tech Podcasts

This day and age, staying on top of current technology can be a daunting task. Tight schedules, spending time with family, and much needed relaxation can all contribute to not having enough time to indulge in new technologies. Luckily for busy folks, there is a way to stay on top of technology news during your commute to and from work – Technology-based Podcasts.

Podcasts originated in the early 2000′s and have gained popularity since. Anyone can create a podcast, and ultimately create a following of listeners. Podcasts focusing on tech news, how-to’s, and explicit technologies such as Mac & Linux have allowed anyone with an MP3 player to listen and learn on the go. Some podcast creators have also released videos, known as Vidcasts, to spread their information to the masses.

Where can you find these Tech-related Podcasts?

Well, for starters, TechPodcasts.com. Here you will find categories of Podcasts, most popular Podcasts, MyCasts, and even some “How To” informational guides to help you create your very own Podcast. I encourage you also to look at their TechPodcast Blog. A simple Google search will provide you with even more websites and loads of great podcasts designed for your busy lifestyle.

If you have children or travel for work, sitting down to read technology magazines or websites just doesn’t fit into your busy lives. If you are interested in staying on top of technology, I suggest you load up your iPod with some great tech podcasts and learn while you’re on the go!

For those of you out there with iTunes and an iPod/iPad, podcasts can sync automatically to your device. This is nice if you need a break some Boston Sports talk radio.
